Yzalvoryx team reviewing income forecasting data

About Yzalvoryx

Built for people whose income doesn't arrive in straight lines

Yzalvoryx started as a response to a simple problem: freelance income is unpredictable, and most financial tools assume it isn't. We build decision-support software that treats variability as the default, not the exception.

Why we built Yzalvoryx

Freelancers and self-employed professionals across the UK manage income that fluctuates month to month, client to client. Traditional budgeting tools are built around fixed salaries, and spreadsheets only go so far once the variables multiply.

Yzalvoryx was created to close that gap — combining historical earnings patterns with forward-looking modelling so that freelancers can make decisions about saving, spending, and tax provisioning with more confidence, even when next month's income isn't guaranteed.

We remain focused on a single problem rather than trying to be a general finance app. That focus shapes every decision we make about what to build next.

What we're working toward

Our mission is to give freelancers the same financial clarity that salaried employees take for granted — without asking them to change how they work or pretend their income is steadier than it is. We do this by building tools that model uncertainty directly, rather than smoothing it away.

Principles that guide how we build

Honesty about uncertainty

We don't present forecasts as guarantees. Every projection Yzalvoryx generates is framed with its assumptions visible, so users understand what the numbers can and can't tell them.

Built for real income patterns

We design around irregular pay cycles, late invoices, and seasonal demand — not around the idealised steady paycheque most financial software still assumes.

Independence first

Our goal is to help people stay self-employed sustainably, not to steer them toward products or decisions that primarily benefit us.

A small, focused team

Yzalvoryx is run by a small team of product, data, and engineering people who have spent time working on the client side of freelance and contract work themselves. Rather than listing titles and headshots, we'd rather let the product speak for how we think — and keep this page updated as the team grows.
